Looking to have some fun this Friday night, Nov. 22nd? Come on out to the branch and play in our pong tournament. It is individual play so no partner is needed this time. Just come to the downstairs lounge for 7 p.m. to register and things will start shortly after. It is free to sign up and everyone is welcome.

Due to a scheduling conflict the dinner on Sunday, Nov. 24 has been moved to Sunday, Dec. 1 from 4:30 – 6 p.m. It will feature roast beef or chicken Swiss with mashed potatoes, veggies, Yorkshire pudding, salad and bread pudding or pie for dessert. Everyone is welcome so bring the family.
The Truckers Toy Drive has started and boxes are out around town. They are collecting new toys, that are then turned over to the branch for those in the community that need a little assistance at Christmastime. We are also collecting canned and dry goods to augment the baskets for Christmas dinner. Donations can be dropped at the branch. Thank you for helping us help them.
Three awards were given out at our November general meeting. We gave out two Legionnaire of the Year awards. The first was for 2017-2018 and was presented to Ed Yahnke and the second for 2018-2019 was presented to Pat Perry. Both are great choices as each of these men has put countless hours into volunteering. Also at the meeting the Branch Service Medal was given to Mark Blais in recognition of the service he has given to the branch. Congratulations to all.
Days that are available for Christmas parties are starting to fill in so if you are looking for a place to hold your function, call Paul at 613-687-2504 to book and call soon. Also catering can be done on site.
